How to place a Classified Ad

You must be an MYA member to post a new Ad. Please note, if you are an MYA member but unable to create a new ad please contact dco@mya-uk.org.uk as your access will need to be enabled.

Navigate to the forum you want to place the And in.

Click on the "New Topic" button.

Enter a good title eg "BritPoP IOM". Make this clear what you are selling or looking for so it save people viewing an ad that not relevant. 

In the body or text area, enter full information on what you have for sale or you want to buy.

Please follow the example below so that you present as much information about your item as possible to potential buyers.

• Design
• GBR registration number if you have the boat registered – usually a good selling point.
• Your name.
• Location – people need to know how far they may need to travel.
• Your telephone number – Only if you wish to be contacted via telephone (remember anyone reading forum can see this).
• Description of your item
• Pictures (you can add these in the 'Drag files here to attach, or choose files...' below each body/text area
• Price

**** IMPORTANT****

Remember if you put a phone number or email address in your Ad, then anyone who reads forum can contact you, not just registered members.

If you would prefer not to make your contact details public then ask prospective buyers to contact you through the forum private message system.
