Notice of Race – DF95 M&S Travellers Trophy Race 2 & ASH trophy – Wed 7th May 2025

As you may know GMYC are unable to race any more at Abbey Meads Lake because the young vandals with whom we have had years of conflict broke into our clubhouse and stole the Crewsaver inflatable dinghy over the recent half term holiday. This is the second one to be stolen, so it is extremely disappointing that after 30 years enjoying the superb racing there, we have to find a new lake. The club are determined to carry on organising open races and we have had several kind offers of help from other clubs to sail our events on their water.

Frensham Pond Sailing Club Radio Sailing Group under the direction of Keith Parrott have negotiated a very good deal with the FPSC commodore which allows us to use their water on 7 May using the standard MYA entry form and access to their clubhouse for toilets but without any catering arrangements being made. As well Keith as duty Officer for the day has organised help to form the Race Team with Roger as RO. At the reception desk you will be asked to sign the visitors book.
