MYA Radio League – Mid Season Report – May 2023
It has become clear to me that there are possibly a lot of MYA members who are not familiar with the MYA Radio League (ACERSAIL) even though they may actually be taking part by entering Open events in the various classes.
Just therefore, initially as a reminder, full details of the League, its objectives, the qualification and scoring rules can most easily be viewed by opening the MYA web site on your device and going to ‘News’ then ‘MYA Radio League – ACERSAIL’. https://www.mya-uk.org.uk/mya-radio-league/
I use the term ‘mid season’ in the heading for the Radio League season runs from 1st November until 31st October of the successive year, so the end of April puts us about half way through.
A glance at the various tables will show you who the leading contenders are – AT PRESENT – although the picture can change as the season progresses with still plenty of qualifying events to be held and results to be included. The various tables include the individual skippers’ tables, the club tables and that for the most improved club as well as breaking down the data within each of the qualifying classes and by District.
Don’t forget that if your club hosts a qualifying class event it will also receive a hosting bonus – BUT DO MAKE SURE YOU SEND ME A COPY of the final results for each event so that they can be correctly included.
I am also conscious that some skippers change their club from time to time, so if you take a look at the tables and the details of your club affiliation don’t appear correct, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. It is the MYA membership database listing that determines the club through which you are member.
