On this page you will find the nomination forms for the Chris Dicks and Syan awards. These awards are presented every year at our AGM. The online nomination forms take few minutes to complete and submit to the Secretary for Council.
Completing the online forms below is the preferred method. Links to downloadable forms which will have to be emailed or posted to the Secretary to Council are at the bottom of this page.
Nomination form for ‘THE CHRIS DICKS AWARD’ – In memory of Chris Dicks
The award has been created to recognise good model yacht design at all levels of the sport, together with successful design related model yachting projects.
Any individual or group is eligible for the award and submissions can be for any element of model yacht design, from a complete boat to an innovative fitting or idea.
Submissions will be assessed on their relative merits by a panel consisting of the MYA Technical Officer and two nominated Vice Presidents.
Nominations are requested to be made on this form and submitted to the MYA Secretary to Council 1 week prior to the Annual General Meeting.
We wish to nominate the following person for the Chris Dicks Award.

Nomination form for ‘THE SYAN AWARD’ – In memory of Peter Maskell
The award has been created to recognise an individual or group who has or have made an outstanding contribution to model yachting.
Nominations can only be made by MYA Clubs and District Councils.
There is a panel consisting of the President and two Vice Presidents who will assess the nominations.
Nominations are requested to be made on this form and submitted to the MYA Secretary to Council 1 week prior to the Annual General Meeting.
We wish to nominate the following person for the SYAN Award.
