April 7, 20251 yr Up until our recent event on the 5th April, we have always used a written scoresheet, then transferred the scores onto the MYA HMS spread sheet for scoring, which has served us very well over the last 4 years, we moved onto Afleet for our club racing and it is a game changer (I think I already posted about this) For Our open we decided we would run the event on the Afleet App, there is a HMS option, once you have sorted the seeding races, the app deals with all the promotions/demotions etc... for you, there is an option for either 4 or 6 up/down so the heat management and scoring was completed by one person, usually we would have 1 recording scores, 1 on the heat board, using Afleet allowed an extra skipper to race on the day. If you have the app give it a try, its easier than the alternative (in my opionion) Andy Start - Huntingdon RYC
April 8, 20251 yr At Harwich we've been using A-fleet for a number of years now. Fantastic app, and John (the developer) is REALLY helpful. HMS requires investment in a laptop (say £500), an Office license (for Excel) at about £80 a year and time to transcribe. A-Fleet license £3.99, Amazon Fire Tablet (with Google Play installed) £150... No brainer
