Mustang89 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 I have two of these three lovely boats, and just sold the red one (Bloodhound), and am trying to get some definite identification for them. They look to be by the same designer, but the orange and yellow boats have a completely different rig, as you can see, but the same hull construction, while the red one has a similar look, but different hull construction.......I'm fascinated, because I love the way they sail and want to know more about them. Can anybody shed some light on them, please?
Gareth Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Your yachts look like a 1970 Roger Stollery design called Bloodaxe.
mdicks Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 the red boat is a Deception Design designed by Chris Dicks/Ged Whapshott
Biggles Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 The orange yacht is a BloodAxe, I have one exactly thd same colour. You can contact Roger Stollery at Guildford Model Yacht Club, he's very friendly, I spoke to him about mine!
Derek Priestley Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Think the una rigged boat came from Woodley MYC in the 1970's, where Norman Curtis & Alan Oxlade used to race. 1
