Educational Sailing- Vice Style

It’s Friday afternoon and were are boarding ‘Le Shuttle’ at Folkestone for a train to Calais, five hours later we are pulling into a hotel car park just north of Cologne and ready a good German beer!

CJ and I decided on this trip partly to race our RMs and partly to help CJ with his German language skills in preparation for his GCSE (and I’ll take any excuse to go sailing!) so when we met the group of skippers on Saturday morning and they introduced themselves in English I was worried I might struggle to meet the second objective!
