Announcement of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)

This is formal notification to the MYA Members that an EGM has been called by the MYA Trustees to take place online on Tuesday 7th February 2023.

An email will also be sent directly to members via their registered email address.

Motion 1: To elect volunteers to the vacant Officer positions on the MYA Council.

At the MYA Annual General Meeting on Saturday 26th Nov. 2022 the Chair, Phil Holliday, Treasurer David Rose, and DCO Austin Guerrier were formally re-elected to Council.

This means the Council is unable to operate satisfactorily on behalf of MYA Members. Under the provisions of the Terms of Reference for Trustees the Chair, with unanimous support from the President and Council has asked the MYA Trustees to call an EGM for the purpose of electing Officers to the vacant positions on Council.

All interested Members are asked to notify the Secretary to Council that they wish to stand and include a brief resume of what they are offering to the position before January 7th 2023. All volunteers will be included in an electronic EGM vote which will conclude at midnight on Tuesday February 7th 2023.

The vacant positions are: Vice-Chair, Racing Officer, Technical Officer, International Officer, Publicity Officer.
