If you are experiencing problems with measuring your yacht, that the measurer you are dealing with is unable to resolve, contact your Senior District Measurer. It is these people who know the most about this aspect of our sport/hobby and are the ones who will be taking part in measuring seminars to ensure the highest standards within the MYA.

If you do not know of a measurer locally, or your local measurer does not measure your class of yacht, we have a list of all measurers along with their contact telephone number.

The procedure for club measurers wanting to become official measurers is as follows:

1 Obtain an Official Measurer’s Accreditation form by e-mail from your local District Senior Measurer, the Technical Secretary, or via your club e-mail contact or from the MYA website.
- Click here for a PDF copy

2 Print the form on a single page of A4 paper. Please make sure that the electronic version of the form stays on a single page. If necessary adjust the margins to achieve this before printing it.

3 Complete the form by hand, sign it, scan and it to the Technical Secretary, Roger Stollery or if you can’t do this, post it to:
6 Little Tumners Court, Godalming, Surrey, GU7 2HF.

4 After a successful accreditation process by your local District Senior Measurer, the Technical Secretary will sign this form to authorise accreditation and return it to the measurer by post.
