Catering - the Visitor Centre incorporates a cafeteria which offers tea, coffee, rolls, sandwiches, soup and confectionery.  Participating skippers are asked to support the Centre by using the cafeteria during the event.

Social arrangements - The Management of the Castle Semple Centre are sponsoring a Drinks Reception on Saturday evening at 19.30 in the Bowfield Country Club.  All competitors and race organisers and their Partners are invited.

As the restaurants around Castle Semple are usually busy on weekends,  it is suggested that you book ahead especially for  Saturday night.   A block booking for Saturday evening may be made for those who wish to eat at the Bowfield after the drinks reception.   A set menu for £20/head can be arranged or you may wish to eat a bar supper.   Please advise Ian Dundas or Ali Law by 26th May if you are interested in the block booking for a set meal.

Directions   Location map    Follow the M8 through Glasgow until you reach Glasgow Airport.  Take the A737 towards Irvine.  About 8 miles along the A737,  turn right onto the A760 to Largs.  The Visitor Centre is signposted here.  Go down the A760 for about 1 mile,  passing the Hungry Monk and the station on the left and the Nature Centre on the right.  Turn right off the main road a couple of hundred yards after the Nature Centre (watch for the sign to the Centre).  Just before the first left hand bend in the road  (just past the playing fields), keep straight on.  Continue along Lochlip Road past the water treatment works until Lochlip Road turns left under a bridge.  The entrance to the Visitor Centre car park is straight on just before the bridge.

Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park   The Visitor Centre is part of the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park and is located approximately 15 miles SW of Glasgow.  It provides superb facilities for all sorts of water sports including wind surfing,  canoeing,  rowing and dinghy sailing,  and has top class car parking,  cafeteria and toilet amenities.
